Abstract
Chocolate is a beloved treat worldwide, but its production is threatened by climate change, as cacao trees are highly sensitive to environmental shifts. Rising temperatures and unpredictable weather patterns, driven by global warming, endanger cacao-growing regions, potentially leading to chocolate shortages and higher prices. While avoiding chocolate consumption is one solution, it's not realistic for many. A more feasible approach is controlling growing conditions through technological innovations like vertical farming. This method, which allows for climate-controlled indoor cultivation, could offer a viable solution to ensure the continued production of chocolate in a changing climate.
