Abstract

Last year, after presiding over College of DuPage for nine years, Mike Murphy, president of College of DuPage announced his retirement. Since that time the College has been on a nationwide hunt to find his successor. Recently, we found that person in Dr. Sunil Chand. To lead America's largest single-campus community college, Dr. Sunil Chand will call upon 30 years of experience in higher education.

College of DuPage’s long-standing tradition, the Foundation Golf Outing will be held Monday, September 15th. Lucky golfers who participate will have the chance to win cars and cash and have a great time for a worthy cause.

Last month, the 21st Annual Eclectic Picnic was sponsored by WDCB-FM and The McAninch Arts Center at College of DuPage. If you haven’t been to the Eclectic Picnic … oh … you’re really missing something. It’s a summer picnic in the traditional sense of the word and in the cool jazz sense, too. Ladies and gentlemen, it’s a great time!

Every summer, when classrooms and hallways are a little quieter, the Youth Education Program at College of DuPage fills them with students eager to learn, make new friends and have fun! The youth program is an extension of the Continuing Education Department, which offers students the opportunity to take classes ranging from archery to computer animation and from lego robotics to pet science.
