COD in Lingua

Introduction

Welcome to our first issue of COD in Lingua.

In a globalized world, learning a new language is a remarkable advantage. Knowing a language is not only beneficial when traveling, it is also great for developing strong cognitive skills, such as listening, problem-solving, multitasking, and concept formation. Most importantly, it improves social interaction, encourages connection between people, and presents multiple carrier opportunities. In sum, being a multilingual is a competitive edge in today’s world.

We are very excited to present our students with endless possibilities to explore the languages and cultures of the world. In return, students share with us their world views and diverse perspectives on global and regional cultures. By learning world languages, our students acquire new experiences and broad knowledge, which allow them to better understand the world’s issues.

We are so enthusiastic to publish the first issue of our language journal COD in Lingua. This issue contains six startling articles written in a variety of languages. These articles exemplify students’ understanding of today’s multicultural world and articulate their language skills and sophistication. Students’ work also illustrates the perception that academic writing, in a foreign language, entails the usage of creative thinking skills, complexity, and precision so that the final written product meets the highest academic standards. Our primary goal is to provide a platform for language students to share their outstanding academic accomplishments. Enjoy reading!
