Abstract
This collaborative session offered support strategies for working with English Language Learners (ELLs) at the community college level. Emphasizing culturally responsive and trauma-informed approaches, the session focused on validating learners’ identities, fostering language confidence, and bridging support services with classroom expectations. Co-presenters shared tools and case examples from COD support settings to equip staff with practical, humanizing ways to uplift ELL student success.
