The College of DuPage Library is pleased to announce our Third Annual Student Library Research and Award Symposium, to take place Tuesday May 11, 2021, online, beginning at 6:00 pm. This event will highlight COD student research, such as papers, presentations, posters, objects, and theatrical and musical performances.

The day will include introductions by COD library faculty and college administrators, our student presentations, the presentation of student awards, and keynote address by COD Associate Professor of Art, Jackie Weaver.

Research Award:

The Research Award provides students with the opportunity to win cash awards by submitting a 2-3 page essay describing their research process and submit the essay as part of the submission form. Submissions will be judged solely on the quality and content of the research essay. Submissions are evaluated and awards designated by library faculty. Cash awards include:

  • First Place: $750.00.
  • Second place: $500.00
  • Third place: $250.00
  • Honorable Mention: Several awards of $100.00 each

Submission process: All student work must be sponsored by a faculty member. Students can submit their work here.

Deadline for submissions: May 3, 2021.
