Abstract

Are you familiar with College of DuPage’s Fire Science Technology and EMT/Paramedic programs? These programs are designed to prepare you for an entry level job as a Fire Fighter or an Emergency Medical Technician. So if you like helping people, this career could be for you.

Come to the Rare Book and Paper Show, which will feature more than 30 vendors from all over the U.S. and Canada… and that’s where you’ll find more antique books and documents than you can imagine.

What do you want to be when you grow up? Whatever your career choice is, you can probably prepare for it at College of DuPage. As a matter of fact, last October COD held two conferences on alternative careers. The first was “Finding Your Fit in the Career Puzzle,” a symposium focusing on jobs in the field of art, design, photography and more. The second event was called “Taking the Road Less Traveled: Non-Traditional Careers for All Learners.”

With holiday celebrations looming on the horizon, you may be thinking about your holiday menu. This year, how about adding a little Mediterranean spice to the meal? Our own Chef Chris Thielman is going to show you how to prepare a meal that he likes to call, “Holidays in Provence.”
