Abstract

The gift wrap is put away and we’ve sung our last “Auld Lang Syne” for the season. It’s time to get on with the new year. But before we look ahead to 2005, let’s take a last look at 2004 – C.O.D. style…

After that, we’ll check in at the Aviation Maintenance program…

Followed by a quick trip under the sea with some very talented art students…

Who can say where learning begins and how far it will reach? The request was simple: paint a mural on the walls at the Aurora YWCA swimming pool. The call was answered by a College of DuPage painting class under the direction of part-time art instructor Carla Carr— and it proved to be a learning experience for all concerned. Come along with us to the dedication ceremony.

From Aurora, we cruise on over to Carol Stream to see the new Community Education Center, located at 500 N. Kuhn Road. This is the latest addition to College of DuPage’s off-campus centers. It’s the result of two years of planning and dreaming by both C.O.D. and the Village of Carol Stream.

There are dramatic changes happening in the aviation and transportation industry which are creating new kinds of jobs, so how would you like to be an “Aviation Maintenance Technician?” Get the training you need right here at College of DuPage.

How about a career in Horticulture? Come on out to the Horticulture Career and Job Fair on February 8th from 4 to 6 P.M. and see what’s available.
