Description

This research essay delves into the work of two groups of scientists, studying the effects of the gut microbiota on behavior. The processes in which the experiments were carried out are analyzed, compared, and contrasted. In order to identify which experiment was designed and executed to a higher scientific standard, several aspects were investigated. The methods and materials, such as the data collection procedures, behavioral tests, and study subjects (mice and rats) are examined. The intention is to consider weaknesses and inadequacies, as well as strengths, in both experiments to determine which research is more reliable through a scientific lens.
