COD Library Student Research and Award Symposium

The College of DuPage Library is pleased to announce our Eighth Annual Student Library Research and Award Symposium, to take place Monday, May 11, 2026, 4:00pm in the COD library. This event will highlight COD student research, such as papers, presentations, posters, objects, and theatrical and musical performances.

The day will include introductions by COD library faculty and college administrators, our student presentations, and conclude with the presentation of student awards.

Research Award:

The Research Award provides students with the opportunity to win cash awards by submitting a 2-3 page essay describing their research process and submit the essay as part of the submission form. Submissions will be judged solely on the quality and content of the research essay. Submissions are evaluated and awards designated by library faculty.

Cash awards include:

• First Place - Research Award- : $750.00.
• First Place - Original Research Award- : $750.00.
• Second place: $500.00
• Third place: $250.00
• Honorable Mention: Several awards of $100.00 each

All student work must be submitted by Sunday, April 27, 2026 at 11:59 pm.
