Artist's Statement

Arborescence focuses on shape through open composition, showing the light patterns and shadows as much as the color and lines. Like the original Impressionists, Photographic Impressionism attempts to focus on the idea and experience of an object or view; on its essence in terms of light and color. Thin, short 'brushstrokes' give the illusion of movement and detail even as the Impressionism techniques obscure the original details.
