Artist's Statement
Arborescence focuses on shape through open composition, showing the light patterns and shadows as much as the color and lines. Like the original Impressionists, Photo- graphic Impressionism attempts to focus on the idea and experience of an object or view; on its essence in terms of light and color. Thin, short ‘brushstrokes’ give the illusion of movement and detail even as the Impressionism techniques obscure the original details.
