Description

Right-wing extremist groups have always existed in the shadows, but now they are growing in notoriety in mainstream America. Right-wing extremism has become more normalized than ever before due to the inaction by the government, Donald Trump’s presidency, the accessibility of social media, and the COVID-19 outbreak. January 6th was a wake-up call for the dangers that right-wing extremist groups pose in our country. The fact that so many people, even in government, have not condemned the actions of these groups is a fearful reminder that our democracy is in danger as long as these groups are allowed to exist.
