2022-2023 Student Research Symposium

The College of DuPage Library's Fourth Annual COD Library Student Research Symposium took place Monday, May 8, 2023, 6:00 pm, in the COD Library. The Symposium showcased exemplary COD student research, such as papers, presentations, and this year for the first time, a theatrical performance. In addition to student presentations, the evening included a keynote address given by Diana Martinez, Director of the McAninch Arts Center at COD The evening concluded with the Annual Awards Ceremony.

This year's award winners:

  • First Place: Yibo (Luka) Gao- The Synthesis of Low-cost and High-performance Cathodes for Sodium-ion Batteries. $750.00
  • Second Place: Kadee Swanson- Lingua Mortium? The Case for Classical Language. $500.00
  • Third Place: Shamak Shah - Fashion Designs International Case Study: Analysis of Moving Textile Production from North America to Vietnam. $250.00
  • Honorable Mention: Three awards of $100.00 each

  • Kathryn Sievers - Single-Use Plastics in the Ocean.
  • Elijah Onufrock - The Mystery of the Indus World.
  • Emily Barbosa - The Connection Between an Immoral Artist and Their Work.
