Description
This presentation will discuss a Psychological study that was derived from the Journal of Experimental Psychology at Purdue University. Through the use of a questionnaire we investigated peoples' likelihood to retain information. Participants were asked to do one or three tasks: Rate common nouns on a ten point scale in order of relevance to survival, or write a small phrase on how, if at all, the words are relevant to their survival, or write a small phrase on how, if at all, they relate to the word. The findings of this study will be covered at the symposium.
