Description
This paper explores the potential of reforestation as a strategy to cool urban areas. I begin by explaining the concept of an urban heat island, its causes, and the associated human and climatic impacts. Analyses of selected cities are employed to help assess the effectiveness of urban greening in reducing heat. Throughout my research, I became aware of the intricate factors that combine to create urban heat islands. The conclusion supports my prediction that urban greening is a viable solution for cooling cities.
