Description

In the United States, it is estimated that 1 billion birds adversely collide with windows annually (Audubon 2024). On campus, there have been 314 strikes with an 83% mortality rate in the past 2 years. As part of the Natural Areas student workers we strive for environmental sustainability on campus. For 2024, we interpreted data collected by bird monitors to create a report discussing bird conservation on campus and possible solutions to the issue.
